Learning Mathematics is a key fundamental in every education system that aims to prepare its citizens for a productive life in the 21st century.
At the Primary 4 level, we aim to provide students the necessary Mathematics skills and problem solving strategies so that the transition from lower primary to their current level will be a seamless journey. The TCHER Mathematics curriculum is an excellent vehicle to train the developing minds to think logically, critically and creatively.
Mathematics is largely hierarchical in nature. Higher order concepts and skills are built upon the more foundational ones. A spiral approach is adopted so that the key concepts and skills are learned in sequence and across the levels.
Through a series of 1-hour online lessons, we hope that students are able to:
- acquire and apply Mathematical concepts and skills
- develop cognitive skills for problem solving
- build confidence and foster interest in learning Mathematics
- appreciate Mathematics concepts used in their everyday lives
Many students find that upper Primary Maths questions are challenging due to their weak foundations in Primary 4 Maths. Hence, it is essential to have a strong grasp of Primary 4 Maths concepts in order for your child to tackle questions with more complexity.

We have lesson recordings accessible for revision at your child’s own time so they can focus on areas of weakness.
Lecture and Tutorial for Primary 4 classes have the same curricula each week. The Lecture class is conducted with a larger group of students. The Tutorial class is conducted with a small group.
